Highly recommend! Stuart was very helpful from the moment I called up. Knowledgeable, efficient, professional and communicative. My bike needed a fair bit of work so it was a godsend being able to talk through it all and understand exactly what needed doing and how much it would cost. Stuart has a really customer focused business, he gets how important and individual bikes are for people from what I have seen and experienced. Stuart has serviced my bike for around 6 years now and I've always been pleased. Having someone explain what work needs to be done on your bike is refreshing, it's an education not just a service. Brilliant bike mechanic! Reasonably priced, had our bikes fixed within the day! Gave me some maintenance tips and showed me what he'd done to sort out my gears. My bike had been a pain in the arse to ride before hand! Cheers Stuart!

I've just taken delivery of my new custom built gravel/touring bike and had the first ride on and off road. I love it! Stuart Rider has serviced all my bikes for several years and when it came down to treating myself to a new one I had no hesitation in asking him to specify and build it for me. From setting a realistic budget through researching suitable frames and components Stuart has been extremely thorough and professional. He gave me lots of choices and recommendations throughout the process and was always transparent on pricing options. The end result exceeds my expectations which is a great testimony to a first class bike builder & mechanic.

I’ve known Stuart for many years now and he has always looked after my bikes to the highest of standards. Another great service from RCC this week. Sent Stuart a message on Monday night (bank holiday), response first thing Tuesday, bike dropped off Tuesday morning and ready by close of play despite being very busy in the workshop. Usual great attention for detail and care taken to check everything over, recommend any other works and takes the time to explain the work carried out on pick up. Quick, thorough services and great value.

I stumbled across Stuart Rider at Riders Cycle Centre whilst researching on the internet how to change some wheel bearings, watched his video, he made it look easy and was located close by. I paid him a visit, he couldn't have been more friendly and knowledgable, filling me with confidence that the task would be completed to a high standard. Stuart talked me through the options and issues with bearings (after first checking if I wanted to know, which I did). Then we chatted about all manner of cycling subjects, his passion shining through of his love of cycling and his job. I thought it may take a week, but the following morning received a message that my wheel was ready! Picked my wheel up that evening and it was surprisingly inexpensive. To summarise - rapid turnaround, competitively priced, great knowledge willingly shared and a smashing bloke. What more could you want? If I need any cycling related issues sorting or advice I now know where to go.

There is only one thing to say and that is excellent. I have been to Stuarts workshop for a number of years and today I had an issue with my tubeless tyres and the matter was sorted in minutes along with suitable advice on how to use them. I would say there is only one place to go for your bike repairs or service needs

Top bloke, very happy with my bike service. I rang Stuart and was able to get my bike booked in, repaired and back to me in 48 hours and in that time Stuart had to order a part to be delivered to his workshop. Incredibly quick turn around. Ecstatic with my service, bike riding better than when I bought it. I have now been getting my bike serviced for 5+ years by Stuart and never been anything other than completely impressed and satisfied with his standards, level of service and utter professionalism. Once again Stuart thanks soooooooooooooo very much!!!

I have now visited this shop twice and have nothing but good words to say. First time was to upgrade the group set on my beloved road bike. Stuart was extremely open and helpful with respect to which set to go for, costings, performance etc. etc. As a relatively novice rider, this was invaluable support and even resulted in my paying less for the group set itself than i would have done on Wiggle/Evans given Stuart's relationship with his suppliers. Second time I visited I took advantage of Stuart's 'roadside maintenance' training. Again, as a relatively novice rider but also a 15 year office worker, this was fantastic support and was approached by Stuart in a very pragmatic, non-patronising manner so no embarrassment from me for asking 'stupid' questions! I'd highly recommend speaking with Stuart for anything related to two wheels and pedals

I highly recommend Stuart as an expert in all thinks "bike". He is an excellent mechanic, great at recommending components and specifications for your bike and also does a great service in helping you understand how to best maintain and upgrade your own bike - very hands on so you really learn how to do it for yourself.

Brilliant. We turned up with no appointment as our son's bike cable had snapped that day. Stuart fixed and replaced both cables (they were the original 1980s ones!) within 15 mins and price was v reasonable. Extremely grateful, great service.

Stuart (the owner) is very knowledgeable. He is an absolute gentleman and I have now been to see him twice. The first time I visited Stuart’s workshop was to have him remove a Campagnolo crankset with bottom bracket off a bike I had then. He only charged a nominal sum for his services but that’s when we got talking and he shared his pearls of wisdom regarding training and equipment to maximise my cycling experience. I was just starting out back then. I re-visited the second time for a look at my cycling technique / position on a turbo trainer to ensure nothing major was off. I had bike fit done on my previous bike and I had managed to translate the measurements taken then across to the new bike but still wanted to make sure it was OK. I was very happy with my second encounter with stuart too. He spent time looking at my handlebar set up (needing a small adjustment), pedalling and saddle position whilst I tried Zwift on his smart turbo trainer for the first time. He also recommended a book to use for training with power meter. In essence, he has a lot of knowledge, experience, excellent communication skills and will spend the time with you to make each visit as personalised as possible. You will feel like a pro-athlete having a tailor made session! I live in Leeds and the first time I went was out of necessity (no one local who would take Campag crank off) but now choose to visit him for all of the above mentioned reasons. Highly recommended!!!

I bought a very unusual 150mm QR front fork on a Salsa Beargrease, Stuart is the only person I know who would take a Hope 170mm QR and make it fit. Brilliant job as usual. Still using Stuart and I live in North Wales. Can't beat a great bike mechanic.

Stuart is so meticulous and calm and confident it makes me wonder if I do what I do for a living as well. It is not a coincidence that Stuart has over 50 5 star reviews. I took my bike to him this morning with a gear problem that 2 previous mechanics had failed to sort out, despite having told me they had done all they good to optimise the 1 x 11 set up. Stuart thought his way through the problem and sorted it out same day. He also gave me some very helpful advice about how to get maximum life from the transmission. I have been visiting bike shops for over 25 years and I can honestly say that he is the most competent, confidence inspiring mechanic I have come across in a long time. Stuart is a legend. I'm new to the area and took my bike yesterday lunchtime with a damaged pedal thread that another bike shop said couldn't be repaired, but Stuart fixed it and serviced it in record time. As an Engineer who has been looking after bikes for over 30 years there are not many people I would trust with my bikes and Stuart is top of the list. I turned up without booking and he cleaned up the mess straight away, trying several products before finding the best for the job. And he didn't even make me feel stupid :)

If carlsberg did local bike stores… …Whilst away on holiday my bike developed a loud clunking when peddling. I suspected a problem with the bottom bracket. I called Stuart who was able to look at it the same day, less than two hours later problem solved and new BB30 bearings fitted. Awesome service from a knowledgeable mechanic who provides value for money. Thank you

I have shipped the bike from abroad so I could get a few rides in during my time in the UK. It must have gotten knocked during transportation and the rear mech hanger was out if line. After a really annoying ride with gears all over the place i popped into see Steve and within seconds the bike was on a repair stand, expensive special tools to the ready and the mech hanger was aligned and gears were perfect. Awesome service, especially as I walked in unannounced with no appointment...... Many thanks
